I saw that Climbing magazine got sold to Urban Climber. Maybe they will do something similar and have the web hookups for climbing like the do with UC. Otherwise, I don't know what else they would want to do with the thing.
Seems to me that the time of print media is coming to an end. We find out what's going down now days if not hours from when it happened. Magazines take 3 months to tell us something we've already heard about and fogotten.
Even the pictures aren't enough. I can get online and see hundreds of high quality shots from any number of photographers. And video - something magazines can't even touch - has become what static shots were up til the recent past.
What about you guys? Do you think there's any reason for magazimes to continue putting out such expensive stuff when they can deliver it to us electronically quicker and cheaper? Anyone work in the industry want to give us an idea how insiders feel?
